Installation in the bathroom / toilet

Installation in the bathroom requires a one-off DIY connection to fresh cold water, a toilet and a power socket.

  1. Turn off the main water supply as a precaution.
  2. Connect to the cold water pipe from the toilet or washbasin using the supplied self-tapping valve.
  3. Screw the CatGenie’s inlet hose onto the self-tapping valvedo not overtighten or twist it out of alignment.
  4. Turn the main water supply back on, open the valve and check for leaks.
  5. Hang the CatGenie’s drain hose over the toilet rim and under the seat. It can remain there; the toilet remains usable.
  6. Plug it into the socket (~30 sec.).
  7. The CatGenie can be pre-programmed (up to 4 times a day automatically) or started at the touch of a button.

Installation in the bathroom

  1. Turn off the cold water at the valve.
  2. Unscrew the inlet hose from the valve.
  3. Connect the hose to the supplied ¾-inch T-adapter, then fit the T-piece to the water pipe.
  4. Attach the CatGenie inlet hose to the T-adapter and turn the cold water back on.
  5. Hook the drain hose into the washing machine’s drain pipe – this does not affect the operation of the washing machine.
  6. Plug into the socket. Program the CatGenie to run 1–4 times a day, or start it at the push of a button.
