What litter box accessories can help keep litter out of the house?

If your pet likes to scratch or carries litter outside on its paws, we recommend two specific accessories:

GenieMat: This mat catches loose litter as it leaves the litter box.
Side walls: These raised side walls prevent litter from flying over the edge when your pet scratches. Together, they keep the floor clean and reduce the amount of cleaning needed.

What is the advantage of the GenieDome?

The GenieDome is one of the most popular items in the cat litter box accessories category. It offers your cat privacy and security, which makes it more appealing, especially to shy cats. In addition, the dome helps contain odors even better during use until it’s time to clean the litter box.

Do I need any special tools for maintenance?

Yes, the maintenance cartridge is essential for the longevity of your CatGenie. This accessory for your self-cleaning litter box should be used about every six months to remove limescale and biofilm from inside the machine—which you can’t see from the outside.
